A member of the South Korean band THE BOYZ Eric received a positive test for Covid-19. The IST Entertainment Group agency has issued an official statement to the group’s official fan café to announce the diagnosis.

“On January 20, after THE BOYZ member Eric completed the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, he was contacted that an acquaintance with whom he had dinner had tested positive for COVID-19, so he preemptively passed the PCR test. on the morning of January 21 with a negative result, ”the message reads.

Continued: “After the negative test on January 21, Eric had no particular symptoms, so he was quarantined until January 21, and then joined [THE BOYZ’s] planned activities after Jan. 22 confirmed that the self-test kit test was negative. After the filming of the group reality show was scheduled for January 24, Eric passed the PCR test again on January 23, and he received a positive result on the morning of January 24. ”

The agency also mentioned that other members of THE BOYZ along with staff have been screened following Eric’s news and are currently awaiting test results. “After hearing the news of Eric’s positive test for COVID-19 this morning, THE BOYZ and staff were tested for COVID-19. We are currently awaiting the results of the analyzes. In addition, we promptly conveyed this news to the organizers of the planned event last weekend, ”the agency said.

The statement went on to say: “We will publish another official announcement immediately after the test results are revealed. THE BOYZ will adjust its official schedule and we will notify you of changes to the schedule later via the official homepage. ”
