ReNew, SEWA, UNEP to coach salt pan feminine employees as technicians

ReNew Energy, in partnership with the United Nations Setting Programme (UNEP) and Self-Employed Ladies’s Affiliation of India (SEWA), has began an initiative named ‘Venture Surya’ to coach low-income girls salt pan employees to work within the renewable business.

Below this programme, girls salt pan employees, who work within the bodily difficult and excessive temperatures of the distant Rann of Kutch marshes, might be skilled as photo voltaic panel and photo voltaic pump technicians at Dhokavada Village within the Patan district of Gujarat.

At the moment, these girls save a mean of ₹10,000 in about 10 months, whereas a photo voltaic panel technician can earn as much as ₹18,000 a month, the companions stated in an announcement.

Vaishali Sinha, Chief Sustainability Officer, ReNew, stated, “This programme brings these inspiring girls, who face actual hardship in a standard livelihood and earn a meagre revenue, into the center of the clear vitality transition to higher their lives and brings them into the battle towards local weather change.”
