Redemption worth of Sovereign Gold Bond fastened at ₹5,028 per unit

The redemption worth for untimely redemption for SGB 2017-18 Sequence IV due on October 21, 2022 shall be ₹5,028 per unit of Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) primarily based on the easy common of closing gold worth for 3 enterprise days i.e., October 18-20, 2022, the Reserve Financial institution of India (RBI) mentioned late on Thursday.

“When it comes to GOI Notification F.No.4(25) – W&M/2017 dated October 06, 2017 (SGB 2017-18 Sequence IV – Challenge date October 23, 2017) on Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme, untimely redemption of Gold Bond could also be permitted after fifth yr from the date of problem of such Gold Bond on the date on which curiosity is payable,” the RBI mentioned.

“Accordingly, the primary due date of untimely redemption of the above tranche shall be October 21, 2022 [October 22 and 23, 2022 being Saturday and Sunday respectively],” it added.
