Akasa’s first Boeing 737 Max lands in Delhi

Akasa Air, backed by billionaire investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, on Tuesday obtained supply of its first plane, a Boeing 737 MAX, on the Indira Gandhi Worldwide Airport.

The airline expects to function the ‘proving flights’ required to acquire DGCA’s Air Working Allow (AOP), which airways want to start business flights, subsequent week, CEO Vinay Dube informed journalists.

The airline plans to use for airport slots in July and begin flights by the tip of the month with two plane, adopted by a gradual scaling as much as 18 planes by March 2023

On the airline’s plans to attach metro cities with tier-2 and tier-3 cities, Mr. Dube stated, “there may be development in all places and that’s the India story”. He added that this market was the “greatest alternative” for the airline.
